Convergence Scout is a handheld Portable Training Device (PTD) that runs special software to enable integration with Convergence Server. When used together with Convergence Server's Task Verification system, Administrators can create automated task check lists using bar code tags that can be attached to equipment in the field. The tasks lists can be assigned to groups of users and then downloaded to the Convergence Scout for field identificaiton testing. When the Scout is returned to the cradle the results are automatically updated to the Server and the users training status is updated.
